ABOUT US
RYE’s mission is to simplify automation and offer realistic solutions to our clients' unique challenges, and we're passionate about helping businesses across various sectors to achieve their automation goals.
RYE Design is a pioneering robotics company founded in 2013 by Andy and Sarah. Their journey began when they first met each other during a college student council meeting, where they were assigned the task of discarding leftover pizza boxes. Little did they know that this encounter would spark the creation of their successful automation company, RYE Design.
In 2013, Andy took a leap of faith, leaving his job to establish RYE Design as an "engineering design firm." A year later, Sarah joined the team when they found themselves overwhelmed with demand. Since then, RYE Design has flourished, moving through multiple locations and finally settling into their current cutting-edge facility in 2021.
Sarah Fiegener
I’m Sarah – Custom Automation Specialist, Robotic Integrator, Vision Systems, Engineer, and Owner of Rye Design. My background is in Agriculture, Product development, and Manufacturing, so the automation piece goes hand in hand.
Outside of my work with Rye, and enjoying those activities mentioned by Andy, I am passionate about music. I’m the Founder and Executive Director of Musician's Haven, where we provide opportunities to experience music. We've been hands on in bringing the music scene back to Claremore, OK over the last 5 years.
Andy Fiegener
I’m Andy -- Automation Engineer, Mechanical Designer, Programmer, and Owner of Rye Design. My professional experience includes equipment design and automated and robotic cell manufacturing. I’ve had successes in developing new products, reverse engineering existing, implementing automation solutions, programming robotics and control systems, and managing multi-disciplinary groups.
When not building and designing really cool systems, you’ll likely find us outdoors! We love to travel to new places, hike deep into forests and explore desert landscapes, pretty much anything! Our most recent fixation is mountain biking, we have some backyard access to miles of great trails plus the amount of cool tech in mountain biking scratches that itch. When we’re not spending a weekend on the trails, we’re usually involved in a house project (or multiple, our house is circa 1898 and likes attention) or working on one of the various side projects.
Becky Wentworth
I’m Becky — Operations Lead, Technical Writer, and Documentation Specialist. I joined the team in 2022 in what began as an administrative support role and quickly evolved into something much broader. Today, my role centers on operations, systems, and documentation — building structure where it’s needed and bringing clarity to fast-moving work.
I focus on building processes that reduce friction, translating complex information into usable guides, and being the steady operational backbone behind ambitious ideas.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me reading, chasing a creative project, spending time near the water, or finding a sunny spot to relax.
