Common Upgrades
15 Inch HMI Upgrade
The Red Lion 15-inch industrial HMI operator interface features a 1024x768 pixel, 16-million-color touchscreen display. This model includes robust connectivity with two Ethernet ports, four serial ports, and multiple USB ports. Built for harsh environments, it has an IP66 NEMA 4X front panel rating and features protocol conversion for over 300 industrial protocols, built-in data logging, and an integral web server for remote access.
Key Differences: Display Size & Resolution: The 10.4-inch version uses an SVGA display with an 800 x 600 pixel resolution. The 15-inch model steps up to a larger XGA display featuring a higher 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, providing significantly more screen real estate for complex industrial graphics.

Swivel System for HMI
Key Differences: Upgrade from the standard fixed fence-mounted HMI to an industrial articulating support arm system. The operator interface is mounted on a heavy-duty swivel arm anchored to the cell framing, allowing the screen to be repositioned, angled, or stowed flat against the fence line as needed. The arm system is rated for continuous industrial use and includes rotation stops to prevent cable strain. The HMI enclosure can be designed to include an emergency stop and an indicator light for at-a-glance cell status directly at the operator station.
Benefits include:
- Improved ergonomics — position the screen for comfortable viewing at the load station rather than a fixed height and angle.
- Better accessibility during setup and maintenance — rotate the HMI toward technicians working at the cell.
- Reduced glare — adjust the viewing angle to suit lighting conditions.
- Clear load path — swing the enclosure out of the way of part loading and door swings.
- Clean cable management — all wiring is routed internally through the arm, protected from snags and weld spatter.
Cognex Vision View Web Panel HMI
Vision View Web Panel is a 9-inch (229mm) touch screen and allows operators to load jobs, adjust tool parameters and regions of interest, and see inspection results on the factory floor without a PC. This includes a basic control enclosure (not dust/ingress proof) that mounts to existing fence. Does not include pedestal. If supplying to customer as stand-alone, customer is responsible for mounting.
Includes:
- Power supply and region specific plug for US.
- 2 USB ports for connecting a mouse or keyboard, or storing images and jobs on a removable drive.
- Connect and monitor up to 4 systems simultaneously.
- Enclosures, Cables, Etc.
