Robot Force Sensing

Robotic force sensors are used when it's necessary for a robot to sense output force and understand the interaction it is having with objects in a cell.  Most commonly used in assembly and grinding/polishing operations.

These sensors mimic the sensitivity that a human has when performing an operation, and they allow a robot to do activities that would otherwise be impossible.

4 different sizes of Force Sensors are available for 6-axis FANUC robots with payload capacities up to 250 kg.

Force sensors are perfect for:

  • Precision assembly

  • Contouring to an object's shape

  • Polishing and grinding

  • Deburring

  • Inspection
